Amazon EKS is now generally available
Back at re:Invent 2017, Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes was announced. Good news: it is now available for use in production form.
Amazon EKS simplifies the process of building, securing, operating, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, and brings the benefits of container-based computing to organizations that want to focus on building applications instead of setting up a Kubernetes cluster from scratch.
Prior to Amazon EKS, a lot of work had to go into architecting a fault-tolerant way to run Kubernetes. With Amazon EKS you get a highly available, fault-tolerant, managed Kubernetes service.
