AWS add backtrack feature to Aurora

Amazon have a great new backtrack feature for Amazon Aurora—a feature that can be enabled now for all newly-launched Aurora database clusters.

The Amazon Aurora Backtrack feature is “as close as we can come, given present-day technology, to an Undo option for reality,” says Jeff Barr, Chief Evangelist at AWS.

To enable it, you have to “specify how far back in time you might want to rewind, and use the database as usual.”

This is a feature that we’re incredibly excited to make use of here at Steamhaus.
