Our Partners

You can’t make it in this world on your own, so that’s why we’ll be partnering with some fantastic companies to deliver a complete service to our customers.

Here’s a list of our partners and some detail about what they do, and why we chose to work with them.

The true power of the cloud is unleashed when your site or application is hosted on a large-scale public cloud.  You get all the benefits of an almost infinitely scalable infrastructure without any capital costs or ongoing responsibility for looking after hardware.

Steamhaus is partnering with both large-scale worldwide cloud providers and we also have a local option for those wanting to have their data hosted closer to home.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive, evolving cloud computing platform provided by Amazon.com. Web services are sometimes called cloud services or remote computing services. The first AWS offerings were launched in 2006 to provide online services for websites and client-side applications.

To minimize the impact of outages and ensure robustness of the system, AWS is geographically diversified into regions. These regions have central hubs in the Eastern USA, Western USA (two locations), Brazil, Ireland, Frankfurt, Singapore, Japan, and Australia. Each region comprises multiple smaller geographic areas called availability zones.

By harnessing the full features of AWS, powerful cloud solutions can be built without the capital expense of buying any of the underlying infrastructure that would historically have been required.

Steamhaus is an AWS Certified Consulting Partner.

Dell is our preferred supplier of hardware for our own SteamCloud platform, including their current generation of rackmount servers and EqualLogic SAN appliances.  Their hardware is reliable, performant and power-efficient.  We’ve used Dell products for years and so are not only extremely experienced users, but can vouch for its build quality and stability.

Juniper are a market leading network vendor. Their MX series routers are trusted by some of the world’s largest networks, including LINX and JANET, making them the natural choice for the Steamhaus network. They were also the first router to fully support SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualisation), enabling fully automated provisioning of new virtualized networks at the touch of a button, whilst still receiving the performance benefits of routing in hardware.

Cumulus Linux OS powers our leaf and spine data center switching fabric. Their network operating system runs on Dell, Edgecore and Quantamesh hardware, providing unified configuration across a myriad of different hardware configurations. Alongside Juniper, their support for SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualisation) made them the defacto choice in open standards network operating systems.
